How...?

1) Magazine subscriptions in US are already so ridiculously cheap. And recently I've got an email from Amazon offering an instant rebate of $10 when you subscribe to 2 magazines. E.g. if you subscribe to Men's Health for $24.94 a year, throw in GQ's subscription for another $12. After your $10 rebate, that's like adding GQ for only 2 bucks! To give an even cheaper example, subscribe to GQ and Esquire for $12 and $8 respectively and get your 10 bucks off, that's a 50% discount. Nobody's complaining. But why don't we get such prices elsewhere in the world?

2) Luciano Pavarotti, the great tenor, passed away earlier this month. And this Monday, Colin McRae, a Brit rally legend, died after crashing a chopper he was piloting near his home. Rest in peace.
