Awesome Lecture Prank!

The scene at today's 10AM Intermediate Macroeconomics lecture was such a priceless gift to everyone present.

In the midst of the usual somewhat dry lecture by Don Harding, the wedding song was played in the AV system. We thought it was just some really loud ringtone or something. Our intuition went wrong when Don placed his hand on his chin and said, in such a perfect tone, "oh my God...".

Everyone turned around to see in such amazement a priest, a bride, a bridesmaid and another man slowly proceeding down the lecture theatre (Prince Philip Theatre in Architecture Building) with the background wedding music. As they settled in front of the lecture hall, everyone was extremely curious, while Don was really, really stoned. Silence took over for a little moment, when one student said "I object!". He apparently wasn't part of the act and was hence ignored. Well, at least everyone thought it wasn't funny.

Then one student sitting amongst us in a suit stood up and said "I forgot, that's my wedding!". He ran down and the 'wedding ceremony' proceeded in a rather dramatic way, with the bride crying, etc. The priest then asked the audience, us, if there was any objection. The man who came in with them stood up and objected. He quarrelled with the bride and chased each other away through the door next to Don. The whole prank was ended with only a "thank you" by the priest, and they left through the same door.

Later the lecture went on pretty fast. Don claimed that his heartbeat was probably near 150. All in all, it was really, really bizarre and thoroughly entertaining (partly to see Don's face).

Reportedly, there was a similar prank in the afternoon at Copland Theatre, with a bunch of guys running into the lecture hall, jumping and streaking for a while and ran out. It also left the lecturer just as stoned.

What do you guys think?
