New and Last Semester

This semester, which is the last for me (hopefully), will be rather different to those in the past. There's only 3 subjects, with one of them carrying double credit. Also, one of these 3 have no tutes.

Contingencies, Actuarial Statistics, and Model for Insurance and Finance. They all sound very technical, yes, but that's about all I know - just can't be bothered to find out more when we're not given the choice of subjects.

And just wondering though. My family is coming in December. Should they stay for Christmas? I've never spent one here so I wouldn't know if it would be fun. Any help, advise or suggestions would be warmly appreciated.
